{"id":1725,"date":"2015-10-27T09:02:57","date_gmt":"2015-10-27T14:32:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/beiskjaer.eu\/blog\/?p=1725"},"modified":"2015-10-27T10:00:58","modified_gmt":"2015-10-27T15:30:58","slug":"flsmidth-cements-monster-order-in-vietnam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/beiskjaer.eu\/blog\/?p=1725","title":{"rendered":"FLSmidth cements monster order in Vietnam"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p><a href=\"http:\/\/cphpost.dk\/news\/business\/flsmidth-cements-monster-order-in-vietnam.html\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/beiskjaer.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/flsmidth.jpg?w=900&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Biggest deal for the Danish engineering firm in 18 months<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Following six months of negotiations, the Danish engineering firm FLSmidth revealed that it has beaten several competitors to the punch and landed a huge order in Vietnam.<\/p>\n<p>In the biggest order in 18 months for FLSmidth, the Vietnamese contracting\u00a0giant Xuan Thanh Group has hired the Valby-based firm to construct a cement plant\u00a0worth about 750 million kroner.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Vietnamese cement market is expected to grow over the coming years and it is a well-known market to FLSmidth as we have been present in the country for many years \u2013 also the construction of the largest cement plant in South East Asia proves our strong position in the area,\u201d said Per Mejnert Kristensen, the head of FLSmidth\u2019s cement division.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hardened\u00a0opposition<\/strong><br \/>\nKristensen went on to reveal that the cement factory will produce 12,000 tons of cement on a daily basis, making it one of the largest three to\u00a0four cement factories in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Kristensen revealed that the Danes had faced stiff competition for the bid, including the German company ThyssenKrupp and several Chinese companies.<\/p>\n<p>The last time the Danish firm enjoyed a larger order was back in November 2013 when the company\u2019s material division secured a 1 billion kroner deal involving the supply of equipment for a warehouse terminal in Qatar.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Source: <em><a href=\"http:\/\/cphpost.dk\/news\/business\/flsmidth-cements-monster-order-in-vietnam.html\">The Copenhagen Post &#8211;
